Bank Jakarta wins best KEJAR implementation award 2026

Bank Jakarta has won the award for Best KEJAR Implementing Bank in the Regional Development Bank (BPD) category for the Java-Bali Region in 2026 at the KEJAR Award 2026 organised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The award was achieved for the company’s contribution to expanding access to financial services and improving financial literacy and inclusion among students.

“The KEJAR Award 2026 is a form of appreciation as well as motivation for Bank Jakarta to continue expanding access and improving financial understanding from an early age for students,” said Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H. Widodo in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

Bank Jakarta was also a finalist in the category of Most Active Bank in Implementing Bank Goes to School. The award was received directly by Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H. Widodo during the peak event of Indonesia Savings Day and Financial Literacy Month 2026 organised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Atas 13 Bekasi on Friday (28/8).

According to Agus, these efforts are realised through SimPel savings as a savings product designed to support financial education and inclusion as well as to build a culture of saving from an early age. “Bank Jakarta will continue to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders, including regional governments, the OJK, and educational units, to expand the use of financial services for students,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi said the KEJAR Award 2026 reflects Bank Jakarta’s consistency in expanding access to financial services while building saving habits and understanding of financial management among students. “For Bank Jakarta, the KEJAR Programme is not only about account ownership, but also about how to build saving habits and improve students’ understanding of the importance of financial management from an early age,” said Arie.

On the same occasion, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government also won an award as the Best KEJAR Implementation Region at the Provincial Level for the Java-Bali Region. In addition, SLBN 02 Jakarta, a partner of Bank Jakarta, was also a finalist in the category of Best KEJAR Implementation Special Education Unit. These various achievements are considered to strengthen Bank Jakarta’s commitment to supporting improved financial literacy and inclusion through various educational programmes that reach the younger generation, particularly students.
