Jakarta (ANTARA) – To realise social concern for friends with disabilities, Bank Jakarta has provided Training Support Assistance for friends with disabilities supported by the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia. The assistance was given symbolically by Bank Jakarta’s Compliance Director, Ateng Rivai, to the Chairman of the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia, Suty Karno, during a visit to the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia (YaSDI) at the East Jakarta Regional Work Training Centre (PPKD) in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, on Friday (24/4).

Bank Jakarta’s Compliance Director, Ateng Rivai, stated that this assistance is part of the activities for Bank Jakarta’s 65th anniversary and serves as a tangible manifestation of the bank’s concern for empowering the community, particularly people with disabilities, in enhancing skills, economic independence, and competitiveness in the workforce.

Ateng also conveyed that this activity is part of the company’s commitment to delivering inclusive social benefits, while emphasising that Bank Jakarta’s anniversary commemoration is not merely ceremonial but is realised through concrete actions that have a sustainable social impact on society.

“On the occasion of Bank Jakarta’s 65th anniversary, we want to share broader benefits. This support is a form of our concern for friends with disabilities to have better access to training, skills, and opportunities for independence,” said Ateng. According to Ateng, empowering vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, is an important part of equitable development. Therefore, Bank Jakarta wishes to continue collaborating with various parties to encourage the creation of an inclusive ecosystem.

The visit by Bank Jakarta and the provision of assistance were enthusiastically welcomed by the Chairman of the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia, Suty Karno, along with the supported friends with disabilities. Suty Karno expressed appreciation for Bank Jakarta’s concern, which he assessed as providing real impetus for the development of the training participants’ capacities. “We welcome and thank Bank Jakarta for their attention. This assistance is very meaningful to support training facilities and strengthen the empowerment programmes we run for friends with disabilities,” he said.

For information, the Yayasan Solidaritas Difabel Indonesia (YaSDI) is a foundation focused on empowering and fostering solidarity for people with disabilities in Indonesia. Founded by Suty Karno, the foundation actively conducts work training collaborations, social activities, and creates an inclusive environment. YaSDI routinely carries out activities to improve the abilities and work skills of people with disabilities, including work training, audiences with the government, and social actions such as mass circumcisions for people with disabilities.

Bank Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, stated that this social activity is one of the series of Bank Jakarta’s anniversary celebrations that emphasises concern, collaboration, and community empowerment, including the disability group as an important part of inclusive development.
