Bank Jakarta Provides 20 Buses in Free Homecoming Programme 2026
Jakarta - Bank Jakarta is continuing its support for the Free Homecoming Programme for Eid 2026, implemented by the Jakarta Provincial Government, by providing 20 buses to various destinations.
Bank Jakarta’s Chief Executive Officer Agus H Widodo stated that the provision of buses represents Bank Jakarta’s commitment to supporting safe and comfortable transportation for Jakarta residents during the homecoming period.
“As a state-owned enterprise of Jakarta, Bank Jakarta’s support for the Free Homecoming Programme for Eid 2026 is a manifestation of sustained synergy with the Jakarta Provincial Government to provide convenience for residents, particularly those who wish to return to their hometowns,” said Agus in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The total number of buses prepared by the Jakarta Provincial Government for the Free Homecoming Programme 2026 is 744 buses, an increase from the initial plan of 667 buses.
The expansion of the fleet was undertaken in response to a surge in Jakarta residents planning to return home, estimated at 33,000 passengers, compared to the initial estimate of 26,000 passengers.
This figure represents an increase compared to the number of buses provided by Bank Jakarta in 2025.
In addition to Bank Jakarta, several other state-owned enterprises are supporting the Jakarta Provincial Government’s Free Homecoming Programme, including PT Transportasi Jakarta, PT MRT Jakarta, PT LRT Jakarta, PAM Jaya, and PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol.
Beyond supporting the free homecoming initiative, Bank Jakarta is also operating a Bank Jakarta Homecoming Post located at the Rest Area at kilometre 429 in Semarang from 14 to 20 March 2026.
At this post, travellers can utilise various facilities, including a rest area, massage chairs, free WiFi, and free charging stations.
Additionally, Bank Jakarta is offering various promotions and programmes for travellers, including special gifts for opening accounts and cashback for transactions using QRIS through JakOne Mobile Bank Jakarta application.
