JAKARTA – Bank Jakarta is supporting the DKI Jakarta provincial government’s free mudik programme by providing 20 buses for Lebaran 2026 homecomers. This support aims to help the public access safe and comfortable mudik transportation.

Twenty buses from Bank Jakarta were dispatched alongside a total of 744 buses released by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at Silang Monas on Tuesday, 17 March 2026. The fleet size increased from the initial plan of 667 buses following a surge in mudik participants from 26,000 to 33,000 persons.

Bank Jakarta’s Chief Executive Officer Agus H Widodo said the support represents the company’s commitment as a state-owned enterprise of DKI Jakarta in backing regional government programmes.

“Through this support, we wish to provide convenience for the public, particularly DKI Jakarta residents, to return to their hometowns safely and comfortably,” Agus stated on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Agus noted that synergy with the DKI Jakarta provincial government continues to be strengthened through various programmes addressing community needs, including the provision of free mudik transportation.

Bank Jakarta provided buses to several destinations across Java and Sumatra, including Semarang, Solo, Lampung, Sidoarjo, Kediri, Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, and Wonogiri. The number increased compared to the previous year.

Beyond bus provision, Bank Jakarta also established a Mudik Post at the KM 429 Rest Area in Semarang from 14–20 March 2026. The post offers rest facilities, massage chairs, free wifi, and device charging services for travellers.

The company also offered several promotional programmes, such as account opening souvenirs and cashback for QRIS transactions through the JakOne Mobile application.

Bank Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi said the support for the free mudik programme forms part of the company’s efforts to bring services closer to the community.

“By providing support to the 2026 Lebaran Free Mudik Programme, Bank Jakarta hopes to draw closer to the public,” Arie said.
