Bank Jakarta Opens Mudik Rest Station at KM 429 Rest Area in Semarang
Bank Jakarta has opened a Mudik Rest Station at Rest Area KM 429 in Semarang to provide services to travellers during the Lebaran holiday exodus until 20 March 2026. According to Bank Jakarta’s President Director Agus H. Widodo, the establishment of the Mudik Rest Station reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting public comfort and safety during the mudik journey.
Agus stated that the Mudik Rest Station programme, being undertaken by Bank Jakarta for the first time, aims to strengthen the bank’s relationship with communities outside Jakarta and raise awareness of Bank Jakarta during the Lebaran mudik season, a key tradition for Indonesian society. “Semarang is also one of the key mudik destinations for Jakarta residents,” Agus noted.
The Bank Jakarta Mudik Rest Station, developed in collaboration with TV One, is equipped with various facilities for travellers, including rest areas, massage chairs, free Wi-Fi, and free chargers. Bank Jakarta is also offering attractive promotions at the rest station, including souvenirs for customers opening new accounts and cashback for QRIS transactions through the JakOne Mobile Bank Jakarta application.
Hanifah, a Jakarta resident who visited the Bank Jakarta Mudik Rest Station, expressed appreciation for the available facilities. She noted that the rest station made her family’s mudik journey more comfortable, allowing them to rest briefly before continuing their travel. “The facilities are comfortable and clean, so we could rest for a while to recover energy before resuming our journey. The presence of a rest station like this is very helpful for mudik travellers covering long distances,” Hanifah said.
Bank Jakarta’s Corporate Secretary Arie Rinaldi stated that the Mudik Rest Station represents the bank’s effort to strengthen its relationship with the public while promoting digital banking services. “Through the Mudik Rest Station, we want to provide facilities for mudik travellers whilst introducing the ease of digital transactions offered by Bank Jakarta,” Arie said.
Beyond the Mudik Rest Station, Bank Jakarta is also supporting the Free Mudik programme run by the Jakarta Transportation Department by providing 20 buses for various mudik destinations.
With the establishment of the Mudik Rest Station and support for the Free Mudik programme, Bank Jakarta hopes to contribute to the smooth travel experience of the public during the Lebaran mudik period, whilst reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing services that meet the needs of its customers and the broader community.
