Jakarta — Bank Jakarta is expanding the use of cashless transactions through support for digital payment systems at the Jakarta Prime Ramadan 2026 Bazaar. The event, held at Jakarta City Hall on 9–10 March 2026, is being leveraged to strengthen financial literacy and inclusion among the public.

Bank Jakarta Chief Executive Agus H Widodo stated that the company’s involvement in the event is a strategy to broaden the adoption of digital payment systems across society.

“Through digital payment system support at the Jakarta Prime Ramadan Bazaar, we want to provide people with a more convenient transaction experience whilst expanding financial service access for UMKM operators,” Agus said in a statement on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

Agus explained that transaction digitalisation not only simplifies consumer transactions but also helps UMKM entrepreneurs improve financial record-keeping efficiency, expand market reach, and enhance transaction transparency.

The Jakarta Prime Ramadan 2026 Bazaar features various economic and social activities for the public. The event hosts food and fashion merchants from Pasar Jaya partners, affordable food basket redemption programmes, and entertainment offerings throughout Ramadan.

Bank Jakarta Company Secretary Arie Rinaldi said the event also serves as a platform to enhance financial literacy and inclusion among the community.

“This aligns with national efforts to improve financial literacy and inclusion,” Arie said.

Arie added that the bazaar, which involves UMKM operators, communities, and the broader public, presents an opportunity to introduce various digital banking services to the public. This approach is expected to expand public access to safe and trustworthy financial services.
