Bank Jago Launches Credit Report Feature Without Requiring SLIK Access
Bank Jago has launched a Credit Report feature in the Jago app to help prospective borrowers review their credit history before applying for a loan. “We help them become aware first of all the loans they actually have, because that is really important,” said Andy Djiwandono, Head of Sustainability & Digital Lending at Bank Jago, at Menara SMBC, South Jakarta, on Thursday, 9 July 2025.
Andy said the Credit Report feature was born out of a problem affecting members of the public who frequently fail to obtain loans because of outstanding credit at several banks or online lenders.
He explained that the Credit Report provides five pieces of information relating to a customer’s credit health. One of these is the collectability status, or KOL, which shows how smoothly loans are being repaid.
In addition, the Credit Report presents data on loan facilities and the amounts borrowed by a debtor across all financial institutions, not only at Bank Jago. Based on this credit profile information, Andy said Bank Jago, through the Credit Report, will provide recommendations to customers for making financial decisions and improving their credit health.
Andy explained that the loan data integrated into the Credit Report comes from the Financial Services Authority’s Financial Information Service System (SLIK). Therefore, to access the Credit Report, customers must give consent for Bank Jago to request their loan history from OJK’s SLIK.
According to Andy, reviewing one’s credit history is important. He said many prospective borrowers fail in their loan applications because they are unaware of previous arrears. He said public knowledge of their credit history can mitigate the risk of failed loan applications for urgent needs such as housing and education. “Don’t let yourself be held back because you don’t know what your credit report looks like,” he said.
Andy said that according to the 2025 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) released by the Financial Services Authority, the national financial literacy rate for bank financing stands at 65.5 per cent. Meanwhile, literacy levels for financing institutions remain low: non-banks at 44.7 per cent, fintech lending at 24.9 per cent, and financial institutions at 9.8 per cent.
The Credit Report is an implementation of the responsible lending concept developed by Bank Jago. Its launch completes Bank Jago’s range of responsible lending products, including Jago Dana Cepat and Dana Siaga. The credit report can currently be accessed by Bank Jago borrowers, including those using Jago Dana Cepat and Dana Siaga.
