Bank Indonesia Targets Rp446.9 Billion in SME Turnover and Exports at KKI 2026
Bank Indonesia (BI) has set an ambitious target for the Karya Kreatif Indonesia (KKI) 2026 event. The central bank is aiming for total turnover and export business matching for SME products to reach Rp446.9 billion. Additionally, the target for financing business matching, including green financing, has been set at Rp212.8 billion.
Deputy Governor of BI, Thomas AM Djiwandono, affirmed that strengthening SMEs is an important pillar in driving productive intermediation and reinforcing sources of national economic growth. According to him, SMEs have significant potential to transform into new corporations in the future.
“SMEs that grow can become medium-sized enterprises, and medium-sized enterprises that continue to develop can become new Indonesian corporations,” said Thomas in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday (20/8).
As a primary strategy to encourage SMEs to move up the value chain, BI has initiated the Corporate Partnership with SMEs Movement. This programme is designed to connect small business players with the supply chains and value chains of large corporations through strategic partnerships.
Deputy Minister of Finance, Juda Agung, added that the government is committed to strengthening support through tax incentives, affordable financing, and export facilitation. “Synergy between authorities, corporations, financial institutions, and SMEs is key so that business players not only move up in terms of financing, but also in capacity and partnerships,” said Juda.
The KKI 2026 event has recorded a significant increase in participation compared to the previous year. This year, 550 SMEs are participating offline at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), while more than 1,300 SMEs are involved online through the official platform.
The event, taking place from 20-23 August 2026, features 44 series of activities, ranging from business matching to exhibitions of curated products such as traditional textiles, accessories, home decor, coffee, and tourism village promotions. This synergy is expected to create an ecosystem where small businesses have room to grow alongside their corporate partners.
