Bank Indonesia (BI) reported that the liquidity in the economy, or broad money supply (M2), continued to grow positively, reaching Rp10,089.9 trillion in February 2026.

“The M2 position in February 2026 was recorded at Rp10,089.9 trillion, growing by 8.7% year on year (yoy),” stated Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of the BI Communication Department, in an official statement quoted on Friday, 27 March 2026.

Ramdan explained that the M2 growth was supported by an increase in narrow money (M1), which grew 14.4% annually, and quasi-money by 3.1% yoy. However, this achievement slowed compared to January 2026’s 10.0% yoy growth.

BI also observed that the development of money supply in February 2026 was influenced by the increase in net claims on the Central Government (Pempus) and credit disbursements.

Net claims on Pempus grew 25.6% yoy, higher than January 2026’s 22.6% from the previous year’s period.

From the credit disbursement side, it showed an expansion trend with 8.9% annual growth. This achievement continued the upward trend from January 2026 at 10.2% yoy.
