Bank Indonesia (BI) reported the Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) for February 2026 at 125.2 points, remaining above the 100-point threshold and reflecting strong national economic conditions that remain at an optimistic level.

Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of BI’s Communications Department, stated that strong consumer confidence in February 2026 was supported by the Current Economic Conditions Index (IKE) recorded at 115.9 points, higher than the previous month’s level of 115.1 points.

This increase was driven by positive public assessments of several key factors, including current income growth, job availability, and purchases of durable goods.

Ramdan also reported that the Consumer Expectations Index (IEK) remained at an optimistic level of 134.4 points, though this figure was slightly lower compared to the previous month’s 138.8 points.

The result demonstrates domestic consumer confidence in economic conditions over the next six months, including income prospects, employment opportunities, and business activity.

This consumer survey is a monthly survey conducted by BI to capture household perceptions of current economic conditions and their expectations for the future economy. This index serves as an important indicator for monitoring household consumption dynamics, which contribute significantly to national economic growth.
