Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo Resigns
Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has resigned from his position. Perry’s resignation letter has been received by the President of the Republic of Indonesia. “As of yesterday, we officially received a letter of resignation from the Governor of Bank Indonesia addressed to the President,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi on Monday (27/7/2026). In accordance with prevailing mechanisms and legislation, referring to the Bank Indonesia Law, the President has accepted the resignation of the BI Governor. The acceptance of the resignation letter was accompanied by the President’s gratitude to the BI Governor, who has dedicated himself to serving for more than seven years. “Administratively, we will follow up on this resignation letter because, according to the mechanism, a Presidential Decree will be issued regarding his honourable discharge,” he said.
