The Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office for Bali Province is strengthening the implementation of the green economy through the Bali Jagadhita VII-2026 event to support inclusive economic growth in response to global dynamics.

“Bali possesses great potential for continuous growth, particularly through the strength of its tourism sector, which is capable of driving other sectors such as agriculture, industry, MSMEs, and the creative economy,” stated the Head of the BI Bali Representative Office, Achris Sarwani, in Denpasar on Saturday.

The strengthening of the green economy is directed towards increasing the capacity and market access of MSME players, enabling them to transform into export-oriented business entities. Bali Jagadhita is an annual integrated promotional event that emphasises sustainable trade, tourism, and investment, scheduled to take place at a shopping centre in Kuta, Badung Regency, from 5–7 June 2026.

During the event, MSME participants will showcase fashion collections made from environmentally friendly materials in synergy with the Bali Regional National Craftsmen Council (Dekranasda Bali). Furthermore, the MSME exhibition will involve over 60 MSMEs from Bali and Nusa Tenggara across the food and beverage, craft, fashion, and other creative sectors, alongside educational stalls on waste processing.

Additionally, the office will organise a low-cost food market in collaboration with regional food-owned enterprises (BUMD) to support price stabilisation and curb inflation.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of MSMEs, Riza Adha Damanik, noted that the green economy is highly relevant to current global economic trends. He stated that consumers are becoming increasingly selective regarding the products they purchase and consume, taking into account environmental aspects, health, and fairness in production processes. “Bali Jagadhita can continue to serve as a platform for developing green MSMEs while encouraging the emergence of new, productive, and competitive entrepreneurs,” he said.

Echoing these sentiments, the Assistant II for Economy and Development of Bali Province, Luh Ayu Aryani, assessed that the event reinforces the role of MSMEs not only as economic actors but also as guardians of Balinese culture. “Moving forward, Bali will not only pursue economic growth but also strengthen an economy based on local culture and community, including through the development of tourism villages,” she added.
