PT Bank DBS Indonesia has officially become the controlling shareholder of PT DBS Vickers Sekuritas Indonesia (DBSVI) after taking over 99 per cent of the securities firm’s shares. This transaction marks the formation of the DBS Financial Conglomerate in Indonesia.

The share takeover was completed on 1 September 2026. Following the transaction, 99 per cent of DBSVI’s shares are owned by Bank DBS Indonesia, while the remaining 1 per cent is held by DBS Vickers Securities Holdings Pte Ltd.

Within this conglomerate structure, Bank DBS Indonesia will act as the Operational Financial Conglomerate Holding Company (PIKK), while DBSVI will serve as a member of the conglomerate. This structure adheres to the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 30 of 2024 regarding Financial Conglomerates and Financial Conglomerate Holding Companies.

The President Director of PT Bank DBS Indonesia, Lim Chu Chong, stated that the formation of the conglomerate is part of an effort to strengthen organisational structure, governance, and integrated risk management.

“At the same time, we are optimistic that the synergy between banking and capital market services will further strengthen our ability to provide more comprehensive financial solutions for our customers,” Lim said in a statement on Wednesday (2/9/2026).

The synergy between Bank DBS Indonesia and DBSVI will encompass capabilities in banking, treasury, capital markets, and investment within a single ecosystem. This integration is also aimed at expanding access to financing and investment, as well as supporting the deepening of the domestic capital market.

The Acting President Director of DBS Vickers Sekuritas Indonesia, Andreas Oen, noted that stronger support from the DBS Group will create opportunities for the company to expand its capabilities and enhance the quality of services within the Indonesian capital market.
