The marketing of new telephone lines for Bojonggede, Depok
Baru, at Puri Nirwana Estate on April 12 to April 13 was rather
chaotic. This was because it was mandatory for prospective
subscribers to open an account at Bank Danamon's Cibinong branch.
The reason given was that it would make transfers to PT Telkom
easier.
The chaos was, in my opinion, due to the bank's decision to
distribute forms to telephone subscribers at the same time as PT
Telkom's marketing campaign. Unfortunately, PT Telkom supported
Bank Danamon's activity.
PT Telkom should not oblige its customers to open new accounts
with Bank Danamon, Cibinong. Many customers live far from this
bank. Besides, they may have accounts with other banks.
Would it not be much simpler to have customers transfer money
to PT Telkom's Cibinong account? Why the necessity for each
customer to open an account with Bank Danamon?
