Bank Credit Growth Slows to 9.37% in February 2026
Bank Indonesia (BI) has recorded bank credit growth of 9.37% in February 2026, marking a decline from the previous month’s 9.96% expansion.
Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo announced the slowdown during a press conference following the Board of Governors meeting on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.
The credit expansion was supported by investment credit, which grew robustly at 20.7%. However, working capital credit and consumer credit expanded more modestly, at 3.88% and 3.66% respectively.
BI projects that bank credit will expand between 8–12% throughout 2026. This forecast incorporates efforts to realise undisbursed loans, which currently stand at Rp 2.54 quadrillion, representing 22.86% of available credit ceilings.
