Bank BSN Targets Rp87 Trillion in Assets by End of 2026 After Spin-Off
PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) is targeting total assets of around Rp87 trillion by the end of 2026 after officially operating as an independent entity following its spin-off from PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Bank BSN President Director Alex Sofjan Noor stated the company is optimistic about achieving this target, citing performance growth in the first half of 2026 and significant opportunities for developing Sharia banking. “In 2026, Bank BSN targets total assets of around Rp87 trillion, financing of around Rp66 trillion, and third-party funds of around Rp69 trillion, while maintaining financing quality and profitability performance,” Alex said at the opening of the Semester I 2026 Business Review Forum in Bandung on Thursday. According to the company’s performance report, Bank BSN’s total assets reached Rp78.8 trillion as of June 2026, growing 20.1% year-on-year from Rp65.6 trillion in the same period last year. This realisation achieved 100.8% of the first-half target. Financing distribution also increased by 23% year-on-year to Rp59.6 trillion, equivalent to 99.2% of the first-half target. The majority of the financing portfolio remains dominated by the housing sector, which accounts for around 93% of total financing. This consists of subsidised mortgages of Rp37.19 trillion, non-subsidised mortgages of Rp18.36 trillion, Yasa Griya loans of Rp1.97 trillion, non-Yasa Griya loans of Rp1.28 trillion, and non-mortgage financing of Rp810 billion. In the subsidised housing segment, Bank BSN is targeting the distribution of Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) for 73,700 units throughout 2026, having realised financing for 27,888 units by June. Third-party funds collection reached Rp61.6 trillion, growing 11.5% year-on-year. This business growth boosted Bank BSN’s net profit in the first half of 2026 to Rp444 billion, a 10.7% increase compared to the same period last year, achieving 112.2% of the target. Net interest margin improved to 4% from 3.72%, while fee-based income grew 89.9% to Rp127.3 billion. Alex stated that in the second half of 2026, the company will focus on maintaining asset quality through strengthened financing management, optimised collections, and increased provisioning to ensure business expansion remains sound and prudent. On the same occasion, BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu affirmed BTN’s full support for Bank BSN’s development as a Sharia banking subsidiary. He noted that Bank BSN has significant opportunities to expand the national Sharia market share, which remains wide open, while strengthening the Sharia housing financing ecosystem in Indonesia.
