Bank BSN Provides Rp1.4 Trillion Financing to Pegadaian
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) has provided a working capital financing facility worth Rp1.4 trillion to PT Pegadaian to support liquidity strengthening, the development of Sharia financing services, and the acceleration of digital service integration between the two companies. The collaboration was marked by the signing of an agreement in Jakarta on Monday (8/6) by President Director Alex Sofjan Noor and Director of Finance and Strategic Planning Ferdian Timur Satyagraha.
Bank BSN President Director, Alex Sofjan Noor, stated that the financing facility is provided in the form of a BSN Working Capital–Line Facility using a musyarakah contract in accordance with Sharia principles. He noted that the funding will support Pegadaian’s working capital needs to expand Sharia financing services, through both Sharia pawn products and non-pawn financing.
“Through this financing facility, Bank BSN supports the working capital needs of PT Pegadaian while reaffirming our commitment to providing productive and sustainable financial solutions,” said Alex.
Meanwhile, the Director of Finance and Strategic Planning, Ferdian Timur Satyagraha, mentioned that the cooperation reflects the banking sector’s confidence in Pegadaian’s business performance. He stated that the funds will be used to expand inclusive working capital financing and support the company’s digital transformation.
In addition to the financing agreement, both companies are developing integrated digital services. One of the planned initiatives is to introduce Pegadaian’s Gold Savings feature within Bank BSN’s Bale Syariah mobile banking application. Furthermore, both parties are exploring the use of BSN accounts as an option for loan disbursement and repayment through Pegadaian’s Tring! application.
Previously, Bank BSN had also established a partnership as a supplier of precious metal products to support the bank’s gold instalment services. Moving forward, both companies plan to expand their collaboration through joint financing schemes, cash management, transaction digitalisation, and asset buying.
As of May 2026, Bank BSN recorded total assets of Rp78.21 trillion. Financing distribution reached Rp58.33 trillion, while third-party funds (DPK) were recorded at Rp61.15 trillion. Bank BSN stated that this performance serves as capital to expand productive, institutional, and corporate financing.
