PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) held a mass contract signing for its KPR BSN Sejahtera programme, covering 6,000 subsidised housing units simultaneously across all national branch offices on Thursday (25/6/2026). The event was centred at the Siba Garden Housing Estate in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. This mass contract programme is part of Bank BSN’s efforts to accelerate the distribution of subsidised mortgages (KPR) while supporting the government’s programme to provide housing for low-income communities (MBR). The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), BP Tapera’s Director of Cooperation and Policy Alfian Arief, and leaders from housing developer associations including REI, APERSI, APERNAS, and HIMPERA. Bank BSN’s Director of Consumer Banking, Mochamad Yut Penta, stated that the mass contract signing is one of the company’s strategies to accelerate the achievement of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) distribution target set by the government for this year. According to him, in 2026 Bank BSN received an allocation to distribute 73,700 FLPP mortgage units. Therefore, the mass contract signing is considered important to speed up the realisation of the target while supporting the Three Million Houses Programme, which is a government priority. As of June 2026, Bank BSN has distributed 28,000 FLPP units. Based on BP Tapera data as of 24 June 2026, Bank BSN’s market share for subsidised mortgages reached 24.6 percent, an increase from 21.32 percent in December 2025. Yut Penta noted that this increase reflects high public interest in home ownership and indicates growing activity in the property sector. He explained that participants in the mass contract signing come from various professional backgrounds, both formal and informal sectors, including teachers, healthcare workers, private employees, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operators. According to him, Bank BSN continues to encourage broader financing access for the public, including informal workers with irregular incomes. In addition to expanding financing access, Bank BSN is also optimising digital services through the Bale Syariah application to support customer transactions. The application can be used for bill payments, including electricity, water, and home instalments, digitally and in real-time. This step is also part of the company’s efforts to maintain financing quality and mitigate the risk of non-performing loans in the subsidised mortgage segment.
