Bank BSN Explores Collaboration with JARDY Travel to Develop Umrah Ecosystem
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) is exploring a collaboration with JARDY Travel Indonesia to develop integrated Sharia banking services within the Umrah pilgrimage ecosystem.
The proposed cooperation includes the development of payment solutions for pilgrims, pre-departure financial planning, digitalisation of the customer journey, community-based services, and Sharia financial literacy programmes.
SEVP of Wealth & Customer Experience at Bank BSN, Sri Soekminiarni, stated that ecosystem-wide collaboration is necessary to meet public demand for increasingly integrated pilgrimage travel services.
“Collaboration between ecosystems can open opportunities to present services that are easier, more relevant, and provide added value for both customers and pilgrims, while certainly maintaining prudence, good governance, and applicable regulations,” said Rini in Jakarta on Wednesday (16/9).
Bank BSN recognises that the Umrah ecosystem possesses a vast economic chain involving various sectors, including travel agencies, airlines, hotels, transportation, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Sharia banking infrastructure is viewed as a potential link for transactions and services across these various supply chain links.
Founder & Visionary of JARDY Travel Indonesia, Dicky Taufik Gustiawan, noted that integrating the travel industry with Sharia financial services and technology has the potential to enhance the ease and security of services for pilgrims.
“When the strength of the travel industry can be connected with Sharia financial infrastructure, technology, and banking customer experience, there is an opportunity to create a pilgrimage experience that is increasingly easy, safe, and integrated,” said Dickly.
Bank BSN and JARDY Travel will proceed with further discussions to mature the study and implementation plans for the partnership. The collaboration is directed towards building services that cover the needs of pilgrims from the stages of fund planning and departure preparation through to the execution of the pilgrimage.
