Bank BSN expands merchant network to boost digital transactions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) is expanding its merchant penetration in several major cities through the Serbu Ekosistem Programme in order to drive growth in digital transactions whilst strengthening the company’s business ecosystem.
Bank BSN President Director Alex Sofjan Noor said the programme forms part of the company’s strategy to integrate sharia banking services directly into customers’ business activities, including through QRIS services, Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machines, cash flow management and financing.
“Every business product innovation at Bank BSN must be rooted in transaction convenience for business players. Through the spirit of #ThinkCustomer, every business decision always starts with one question: does this step genuinely make things easier for customers?” Alex said at the launch of the Serbu Ekosistem Programme in Jakarta last weekend.
As of 31 August 2026, Bank BSN recorded 238,897 active users of its Bale Syariah by BSN mobile banking service. Transactions through the platform totalled 3.29 million with a value of Rp6.57 trillion.
On the merchant side, Bank BSN’s QRIS service is already used by 2,102 merchants. Cumulative QRIS transactions reached 2.07 million with a value of Rp552.1 billion.
According to Alex, the need for speed, convenience and certainty in payment transactions is increasingly important for business players. The company is therefore striving to bring banking services closer to customers’ business activities, including through the use of QRIS and EDC.
“This approach affirms a transformation in banking that no longer passively waits for customers to come to branch offices, but is instead actively present and embedded in supporting the daily activities and business growth of its partners,” Alex said.
The Serbu Ekosistem Programme will be carried out through a roadshow starting in Jakarta and continuing in stages to several major cities, including Banda Aceh, Bandung and Surabaya.
The company is targeting business partners of various scales and sectors, ranging from retail, the creative industry and Muslim fashion to regional MSMEs. Several partners already using Bank BSN’s services include Walking Drums Cafe, Root & Grow, Modestalk, Romi Jaya, Nahid Studio, Coco Bross and Lozy Hijab in Tasikmalaya.
Alex said the presence of partners from various sectors and generations demonstrates the increasingly diverse need for financial solutions. Through the Serbu Ekosistem Programme, Bank BSN provides payment acceptance services via QRIS and EDC, cash management and access to financing to support business expansion.
The launch of the Serbu Ekosistem Programme in Jakarta also formed part of National Customers’ Day commemorations. At the event, Alex was accompanied by Bank BSN Retail Funding Director Ari Kurniaman and Commercial and Corporate Banking Director Maqin U. Norhadi.
