Bank BSN Distributes Hundreds of Sacrificial Animals Nationwide for Eid al-Adha

PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) distributed 245 sacrificial animals during the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah period. The animals, comprising 107 cows and 138 goats, were distributed across various regions in Indonesia.

The distribution was carried out in collaboration with mosque authorities, community leaders, social agencies, and local communities within the bank’s operational areas. The initiative aims to reach those in need while reinforcing social care values within the Islamic economy.

Bank BSN Managing Director Alex Sofjan Noor stated that Eid al-Adha is an opportunity to strengthen togetherness and social solidarity within communities.

‘Eid al-Adha teaches sincerity, sacrifice, and compassion. Through the distribution of 245 sacrificial animals, Bank BSN aims to remain present among the public, not just as a Sharia banking institution but also as part of a social ecosystem growing and developing alongside the community,’ Alex said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

He added that the annual qurban programme is part of implementing Sharia values that emphasise communal harmony and social benefit. The initiative also serves as a gesture of gratitude for the bank’s business growth and public trust.

‘We hope this distribution of sacrificial animals not only provides direct benefits to recipients but also strengthens Bank BSN’s communal ties with surrounding communities,’ Alex added.

Bank BSN described the qurban activity as part of its corporate social responsibility programme focused on community empowerment and enhancing social impact across regions. As a Sharia financial institution, Bank BSN continues to promote inclusive financial services and wider community reach through various social and empowerment initiatives.
