Bank BPD Bali Upgrades to KBMI 2 as Core Capital Surpasses Rp6 Trillion
Denpasar (ANTARA) - Regional-owned enterprise PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Bali has moved up a tier after its core capital surpassed Rp6.06 trillion, placing it in the KBMI 2 category of banks based on core capital in the first half of 2026. “This upgrade was driven by consistent capital strengthening from capital injections by the regional government as the shareholder,” said BPD Bali President Director I Nyoman Sudharma in Denpasar, Bali, on Monday. Capital injections from the regional government as shareholder reached Rp3.63 trillion as of June 2026. This capital achievement is in line with the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) policy on strengthening capital structures according to the Regional Development Bank Strengthening Roadmap 2024-2027. As for the performance of the regional bank up to the first half of 2026, its assets reached Rp42.74 trillion, an increase of 5.75 per cent year-on-year compared to Rp40.41 trillion in June 2025. The bank collected third-party funds of Rp35.05 trillion, an increase of 3.88 per cent compared to Rp33.74 trillion in June 2025, with low-cost funds (CASA) dominating at 65.31 per cent. Regarding lending in the first half of 2026, realisation reached Rp25.85 trillion, growing 7.08 per cent, with priority given to lending to productive sector micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), such as agriculture, marine and crafts in Bali. “Asset quality remains well-maintained with a low non-performing loan (NPL) ratio of 0.94 per cent,” he added. Meanwhile, the realisation of People’s Business Credit (KUR) distribution up to June 2026 was recorded at Rp1.17 trillion, or 64.55 per cent of the target of Rp1.8 trillion by the end of 2026. Overall, KUR distribution has reached Rp11.45 trillion, of which 73.31 per cent was allocated to new debtors. The bank also posted a net profit of Rp755.3 billion, an increase of 17.67 per cent compared to the same period in June 2025 of Rp642.28 billion.
