Bank BJB Supports Housing Financing for SMEs in West Java
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG — Bank BJB continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting housing finance access for the public, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) in West Java (Jabar).
Manager of the UMKM Centre Region 1 at Bank BJB, Taufik Irfan Maulana, stated that they are collaborating with various stakeholders in implementing housing finance programmes and empowering the people’s economy.
“We are working with the Ministry of PKP, the West Java Provincial Government, PNM, and SMF to support government programmes,” he said during a socialisation event in Bandung on Monday (13/4/2026).
This socialisation event focused on the theme of housing finance and empowering the people’s economy, as part of efforts to synergise between the government and the banking sector in improving societal welfare.
He explained that the synergy is focused on distributing the FLPP programme and Home Ownership Credit (KPR). This programme is expected to expand access to home ownership with a government subsidy scheme.
According to Taufik, the government has provided various facilitations, one of which is through interest subsidies. In this regard, Bank BJB plays an active role in the credit disbursement process to the public while upholding the principle of prudence.
“We conduct assessments of businesses and customer eligibility so that the financing provided not only helps with home ownership but also encourages the sustainability of their businesses,” he emphasised.
Through this step, Bank BJB hopes that the public, particularly UMKM actors, will not only have decent housing but also be able to enhance their economic productivity sustainably.
