Bank bjb, together with the Banten Province Samsat Advisory Team, has strengthened its collaboration to deliver more accessible public services. This commitment was demonstrated through the inauguration of a Motor Vehicle Tax Payment Service Centre (Payment Point) branded ‘Agen Samsat Lebih Dekat dan Mudah’ at the Curug District Office in Tangerang Regency. The launch represents a strategic move to broaden access to annual Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) payments while reinforcing the digital transformation of public services in Banten Province. The event was officiated by Banten Governor Andra Soni alongside the Banten Samsat Advisory Team and attended by various regional government elements, law enforcement officials, Bank Indonesia, Jasa Raharja, district and city administrations, as well as bank bjb President Director Ayi Subarna, bank bjb Operations Director Herfinia, and the bank’s management. Through this service, taxpayers no longer need to rely solely on main Samsat offices, as payments can be made via Banten Samsat Agents, whose network will continue to expand. The payment process begins with vehicle registration through the Samsat Banten Hebat (SAMBAT) application, where taxpayers obtain a payment code as the basis for the annual PKB transaction. Once the payment code is acquired, the public can proceed directly to the nearest Banten Samsat Agent partnered with bank bjb. All transactions are supported by bank bjb’s digital payment system, ensuring a faster, more practical process while maintaining transaction security. This innovation is part of efforts to digitalise public services, providing convenience to the community while improving motor vehicle tax compliance. Going forward, the Banten Samsat Agent network will be expanded to reach all districts and cities across Banten Province. The Banten Samsat Advisory Team and bank bjb are targeting the potential establishment of 1,552 Village Consultative Bodies (BPD) as Banten Samsat Agents. Additionally, potential partnerships will be extended through Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) to provide more people with easy access to tax payment services. This network expansion is expected to bring services closer to the community, eliminating the need for long journeys to Samsat offices.
