Bank bjb Launches Pre-Retirement Entrepreneurship Programme for Civil Servants
Bank bjb held an Entrepreneurship Workshop through its bjb Pra-Purnapreneurship Programme on 2 July 2026. The activity was attended by Civil Servants within the Semarang Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs who will enter retirement in the coming years. The workshop represents bank bjb’s support in accompanying customers at every phase of life. Preparation for retirement is not sufficient if only done near the end of one’s working period; it must be planned early so that an individual possesses financial, mental, and social readiness upon entering retirement. Bank bjb Semarang Branch collaborated with the Semarang Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to prepare State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to face retirement more maturely. This programme embodies bank bjb’s concern that retirement is not the end of productivity, but the beginning of a new chapter that can be lived actively, independently, and prosperously. The event was opened by the Head of the Semarang Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ta’yinul Bagus Nugroho, and the Head of bank bjb Semarang Branch, Risto Livian Surbakti. In his remarks, Ta’yinul expressed hope that the activity would strengthen ASN readiness to face retirement through improved entrepreneurial competence and better financial management. The activity was made more lively and applicable by presenting a local business actor from Semarang Regency, Muhammad Rizki Kurniawan of Bangkir Farm, who shared his experience in building a KUB chicken farming business until it developed. In addition, participants received training from bank bjb Pra-Purnapreneurship Programme Trainer Ivan Rida Pratama on the importance of financial literacy and planning as the main foundation for realising economic independence after retirement. On this occasion, bank bjb also introduced the Kredit Pra Purna Bhakti (KPPB) financing solution, designed to help prospective retirees prepare for the transition to retirement. This product consists of bjb KPPB Grace Period and bjb KPPB Manfaat Ganda, which provide financing flexibility according to customer needs, both for business development and fulfilling various needs approaching retirement. Through the bjb Pra-Purnapreneurship Programme, participants received training on business plan preparation, risk management, financial strategy, and identification of business opportunities that can be pursued after retirement. This programme also reinforces the understanding that a prosperous retirement begins with careful planning, supported by the ability to manage finances and create sustainable income sources. This effort is part of bank bjb’s steps to provide services that are not only business-oriented but also add value through empowerment and improving community welfare. With educational support, financial literacy, entrepreneurial inspiration, and appropriate financing solutions, bank bjb hopes that more prospective retirees will be able to live their retirement confidently, remain productive, and maintain healthy financial conditions. The bjb Pra-Purnapreneurship Programme is one of bank bjb’s efforts to encourage the emergence of retirees who are independent, creative, competitive, and able to enjoy retirement more calmly, happily, and prosperously. Going forward, bank bjb will continue to present banking services oriented towards empowerment, economic sustainability, and improving customer welfare at every life stage, including preparing for a more productive and quality retirement.
