Bank Bali enters Singapore
JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Bank Bali has opened a representative office in Singapore as part of its expansion program.
Bank Bali vice commissioner Sukanta Tanudjaja said the opening of the branch early this week would facilitate trade and financial activities between Indonesia and Singapore.
The bank has 200 branches in Indonesia and has offices in Los Angeles and the Caymand Islands. In Hong Kong, the bank operates through its subsidiary Bali International Finance.
Bank Bali president Rudy Ramly said the bank would concentrate more on retail banking over the next few years.
"We will also cooperate with foreign partners, such as the United Overseas Bank (Singapore), Sanwa Bank (Japan), Prudential Corporation (UK), and Korean Development Leasing Corporation (S. Korea) to strengthen the foreign networks," Rudy said.
He said the bank had links with 450 banks in about 100 countries. (02)
