I refer to the article 'Integrity at stake in bank closure
aftermath' (Nov. 12, 1997, page 1) by Laksamana Sukardi.

I am a regular reader of The Jakarta Post as it is the
official paper at the Kartika Chandra and Shangri-La hotels.

First, I must congratulate and confirm the high quality of
your articles by various analysts and the editorials on
highlighted events. They are indeed excellent. If one were to
compare them with some foreign news magazines, The Jakarta Post
would still come out on top.

Your subject article is Solomonic in reasoning. It magnetizes
the issues of all parties gravely and puts them in equal concern
with each other. Indeed, a very difficult situation. And most
promisingly should be settled out of court and amicably. But not
to impress the IMF.
