PT Bank Aladin Syariah Tbk believes that the utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) and cross-ecosystem collaboration will be the main factors driving the growth of digital banks in the years ahead. This strategy is seen as capable of expanding public access to Sharia financial services while enhancing the customer experience.

Director of Digital Banking at Bank Aladin Syariah, Arief Satrio Putra, stated that this direction of transformation aligns with the company’s strategy through digital innovation and strengthened cooperation with various partners.

‘Technology provides an opportunity to deliver Sharia financial services that are increasingly relevant to the needs of society. Through innovation and collaboration, we aim to broaden access while delivering a simple, personal, and meaningful experience for every customer,’ Arief said in a press release on Thursday.

Arief referred to the Global Banking Annual Review 2026: Precision with Speed report published by McKinsey & Company. The report notes that the 2026-2030 period will be a crucial phase for digital banks, with growth supported by ecosystem service development, increasingly mature monetisation models, and the use of AI.

According to the report, the success of digital banks is determined not only by the ability to deliver technology but also by building strategic collaborations and providing services that meet customer needs.

In line with this trend, Arief explained that Bank Aladin Syariah continues to develop an ecosystem-based business model through an offline-to-online (O2O) strategy. The company is expanding cooperation with financial institutions, industry players, community organisations, and modern retail networks to broaden the reach of Sharia financial services.

This strategy has supported the company’s performance. As of the first quarter of 2026, Bank Aladin Syariah posted a net profit of Rp23.3 billion, with total assets reaching Rp15.1 trillion. The number of active customers also grew by 30.17 percent year-on-year.

According to Arief, cross-ecosystem collaboration aims not only to expand services but also to increase Sharia financial inclusion through integrated digital services that are easily accessible to people across various regions.

This performance led Bank Aladin Syariah to receive the Outstanding Digital Islamic Banking Performance 2026 award at the Anugerah Adinata Syariah 2026 event.
