Bank Aceh disburses Rp2.94 trillion in KUR financing to 26,983 MSMEs

Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Regional government-owned Bank Aceh Syariah (BAS) has disbursed Rp2.94 trillion in people’s business credit (KUR) financing to 26,983 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Aceh from 2022 to June 2026. BAS President Director Fadhil Ilyas stated in Banda Aceh on Wednesday that the financing has been utilised to meet working capital needs, business investment, procurement of production facilities, and business capacity development. He said the KUR distribution represents tangible support from Bank Aceh Syariah for the government’s programme to strengthen the MSME sector as the main driver of the regional economy, while expanding access to financing that is easy, affordable, and compliant with sharia principles. “We hope this financing can encourage business growth, improve community welfare, and create new jobs in Aceh,” he said. He emphasised that Bank Aceh Syariah will continue to improve the quality of its financing services while upholding the principles of prudence, good governance, and ease of access for the public. Fadhil added that the KUR financing has reached various strategic business sectors, including trade, agriculture, plantations, fisheries, processing industries, handicrafts, as well as services and tourism. “In addition to providing capital access, we also offer mentoring to MSME players so that their businesses can develop sustainably,” he said. Through KUR distribution, Bank Aceh reaffirms its role as a regional sharia bank that is consistently present to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. “Going forward, Bank Aceh Syariah will continue to expand the reach of its financing services for MSMEs as part of efforts to boost the welfare of the Acehnese people,” Fadhil Ilyas concluded.
