Bank Aceh disburses Rp2.94 trillion in KUR financing to 26,983 MSMEs

Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Regional government-owned Bank Aceh Syariah (BAS) has disbursed Rp2.94 trillion in people’s business credit (KUR) to 26,983 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Aceh between 2022 and June 2026.

“By 2026, Bank Aceh had disbursed KUR financing of Rp2.94 trillion to 26,983 MSME actors spread across all regencies and cities in Aceh,” said BAS President Director Fadhil Ilyas in Banda Aceh on Wednesday.

Fadhil said the financing was used to meet working capital needs, business investment, procurement of production facilities, and business capacity development.

He said the KUR disbursement was a tangible form of Bank Aceh Syariah’s support for the government’s programme to strengthen the MSME sector as the main driver of the regional economy, as well as to expand access to financing that is easy, affordable and compliant with sharia principles.

“We hope this financing can drive business growth, improve community welfare, and create new jobs in Aceh,” he said.

He affirmed that Bank Aceh Syariah would continue to improve the quality of its financing services while upholding prudential principles, good governance, and ease of access for the public.

Fadhil added that the KUR financing had reached various strategic business sectors, ranging from trade, agriculture, plantations, fisheries and processing industries to crafts, services and tourism.

“Beyond providing access to capital, we also provide mentoring to MSME actors so that their businesses can grow sustainably,” he said.

Through the KUR disbursement, Bank Aceh affirmed its role as a regionally owned sharia bank that is always present to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

“Going forward, Bank Aceh Syariah will continue to expand the reach of its financing services for MSME actors as part of efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Aceh,” Fadhil Ilyas concluded.
