Banjarmasin Hajj Contingent BDJ 01 Completes Pilgrimage Rituals, Prepares to Return Home

Hajj pilgrims from Banjarmasin’s Contingent BDJ 01 in South Kalimantan Province have completed their pilgrimage rituals and are preparing to return home. Three pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation site have passed away: two from Central Kalimantan and one from South Kalimantan.

Contingent leader Syamsuri stated on Sunday, 31 May, that all 359 pilgrims are in good health, with no hospitalisations reported. Some experienced mild flu and cough, but overall conditions were satisfactory.

All pilgrims are now back at their hotels after completing the nafar tsani in Mina. They are gradually performing the tawaf ifadah, with some starting independently from 29 May to avoid crowds, as shuttle bus services are scheduled to resume on 31 May at midnight.

The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia has scheduled baggage weighing for 1 June at 12:00 Saudi time, with departure to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah planned for 2 June at 20:00 Saudi time. The contingent will depart Jeddah for Banjarmasin on 3 June at 08:55 Saudi time aboard Garuda Indonesia flight GA-8401, with an estimated arrival at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarbaru on 4 June at 03:15 WITA.
