Banjarbaru Breaks into Top 25, Investment Services Shine
The Banjarbaru City Government has once again achieved national-level distinction. Through the Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP), Banjarbaru has earned a ‘Very Good’ predicate in the 2026 Assessment of One-Stop Integrated Service Performance and Local Government Business Implementation Acceleration Performance.
This achievement was established via the Decree of the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 204/S of 2026, dated 30 July 2026. Not only did the city achieve the highest rating, but Banjarbaru also broke into the top 25 out of 93 cities in Indonesia. This result positions Banjarbaru as one of the regions with the most competitive investment service quality nationally.
Banjarbaru’s evaluation score also saw a significant increase, rising from 81.581 in the previous assessment to 87.960 in 2026, an increase of 6.379 points. This rise reflects the success of ongoing bureaucratic reforms and service innovations implemented by the local government.
Banjarbaru’s achievement is particularly notable when compared to the provincial level. The DPMPTSP of South Kalimantan Province received a ‘Good’ rating with a score of 64.390, ranking 37th out of 38 provinces. These results indicate that the quality of investment services in Banjarbaru exceeds the average achievement at the provincial level.
The Mayor of Banjarbaru, Erna Lisa Halaby, stated that this success is the result of collaborative efforts across all regional agencies to improve the quality of public services, particularly in the investment sector. “Alhamdulillah. We will continue to implement improvements and enhance the quality of service delivery as preparation for the next assessment,” said Lisa.
According to the Mayor, investment services should not only focus on issuing permits but also on building investor confidence through procedural certainty, service speed, transparency, and ease of access. The assessment by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM was comprehensive, covering the implementation of business licensing simplification, the application of the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) system, business implementation acceleration, human resource quality, service innovation, infrastructure readiness, and the commitment of regional heads to strengthening investment services.
The Head of DPMPTSP Banjarbaru City stated that the ‘Very Good’ predicate is the fruit of synergy across all regional agencies in supporting integrated one-stop services. This collaboration is deemed capable of delivering a licensing process that is faster, more integrated, and provides legal certainty for business actors. This success serves as vital capital for Banjarbaru to strengthen its position as a primary investment destination in South Kalimantan.
