Banjar — Banjar Police Resort has deployed 250 personnel to secure the Eid exodus traffic in Banjar City.
Banjar Police Chief AKBP Didi Dewantoro, S.I.K., S.H., M.A.P. stated that the personnel would be positioned during the 2026 Ketupat Lodaya Operation, which is distributed across several service posts and security posts.
“For the security of the Ketupat Lodaya Operation at Banjar Police Resort, we are involving 250 personnel distributed across security posts, pre-emptive task forces, preventive and repressive task forces, and traffic control task forces,” Dewantoro said when met by ANTARA at the Banjar Police Resort Integrated Post on Monday.
The integrated post is located in the Alun-Alun (town square) area of Banjar City, whilst service posts are being prepared at several strategic locations such as Banjar Station, Banjar Terminal, Banjar Atas Rest Area, and the Baitul Jannah Mosque Service Post in the Tanjung Sukur area heading towards Pangandaran.
According to him, these posts aim to provide services and ensure the safety of homecoming travellers passing through Banjar routes.
At the integrated post, travellers can utilise several facilities provided by the police in cooperation with related agencies.
“At this Integrated Post there are health facilities, and then from the relevant agencies, in this case the transportation department provides information on traffic conditions through the CCTV command centre at the post,” he said.
Additionally, the police also provide free massage facilities for travellers who wish to rest after long journeys.
“We also provide free massage facilities for travellers who are tired and need to rest at the integrated post area, and there is also a children’s play area,” Dewantoro said.
He added that these facilities are expected to help travellers passing through Banjar City to rest briefly before continuing their journey to Central Java or the Pangandaran tourist area.
