Investment realisation in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, has shown a significant positive trend year on year. Investment achievement has even recorded a satisfactory figure, surpassing the set target to reach a surplus of Rp1.6 trillion.

This was conveyed by Banjar Regional Secretary H Yudi Andrea after opening the Regional Investment Forum for Accelerating Investment Realisation in Banjar Regency at the Tree Park Hotel, Kertak Hanyar, on Monday (10/8/2026).

According to Yudi, this investment growth is influenced by Banjar Regency’s strategic geographical location, which directly borders the capital of South Kalimantan Province, Banjarbaru. This position has a positive domino effect on accelerating economic development in the Banjar Regency area.

“To maintain this economic growth momentum, the Banjar Regency Government is focusing development on three key regional sectors included in the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), namely agriculture, fisheries and tourism,” he said.

He explained that these three sectors are considered to have great potential to absorb investment while strengthening the economy based on local resources. As a strategic measure to strengthen the investment climate, the Banjar Regency Government, through the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), has initiated the formation of an interactive communication forum. This forum involves the regional government, business actors and various business associations.

“Through this forum, the regional government can discuss various issues, absorb aspirations, and effectively disseminate the latest policy instruments. This collaboration is expected to create a conducive, transparent and sustainable business climate in Banjar Regency,” he hoped.

Meanwhile, Acting Head of Banjar DPMPTSP Santi Nurlaela revealed that the synergy between the regional government and business actors is expected to encourage an increase in the positive trend of investment realisation. After successfully surpassing the target in 2025, the Banjar Regency Government has set a higher investment realisation target for 2026, reaching Rp2.14 trillion.

“As of the first quarter of 2026, investment realisation in Banjar Regency has recorded a positive figure, reaching 27 percent of the total annual target,” she added.

The forum activity was attended by various elements of business actors as well as business organisation ranks, including the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) of Banjar Regency.

Through collaboration with these business associations, the regional government hopes that the various potentials and leading products owned by Banjar Regency can be promoted more widely to attract the interest of investors, both local and national.
