Bangli Regency Government designates six work units to pursue integrity zone status

Bangli, Bali — The Bangli Regency Government in Bali has designated six regional agencies and working units to pursue the Integrity Zone status, aiming for the ‘Corruption-Free Area’ (WBK) and ‘Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area’ (WBBM) predicates.

“We hope this can produce the first WBK predicate in Bangli Regency,” said the Bangli Regional Secretary, I Dewa Bagus Riana Putra, during a technical guidance session on the Integrity Zone in Bangli on Tuesday.

He emphasised that the Integrity Zone should not be viewed merely as an administrative predicate or an award. Instead, the designation of these regional apparatus units and pilot working units represents a commitment to realising clean, accountable, and transparent governance that is oriented towards high-quality public services.

The six selected units include the Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services, the Regional General Hospital (RSUD), the Department of Population and Civil Registration, the North Bangli Community Health Centre (Puskesmas), the Department of Education, Youth and Sports, and the Department of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Manpower.

These units were selected based on 2025 internal evaluations and assessments, which revealed that no regional apparatus in Bangli yet met the requirements to be proposed for the Integrity Zone to the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB).

“Entering 2026, the Bangli Regency Government is taking progressive steps by designating six pilot working units to implement the development of the Integrity Zone,” he added.

He expressed hope that the Bangli Regency Government could ensure the provision of necessary documents and supporting evidence within each unit so that the resulting changes lead to high-quality performance.

Meanwhile, Budi Prawira, the Assistant Deputy for Policy Coordination of Bureaucratic Reform, Apparatus Accountability, and Regional Supervision II at the Ministry of PANRB, who served as a speaker during the guidance session, explained the requirements for the 2026 Integrity Zone proposals. These requirements include criteria at the government institution level, the unit/working unit level, priority units for local governments, and the specific criteria for establishing WBK/WBBM status.
