The Government of Bangli Regency, Bali, has designated six work units and divisions to pursue the integrity zone title towards a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) / Clean and Serving Bureaucracy (WBBM). Regional Secretary of Bangli Regency I Dewa Bagus Riana Putra stated during technical guidance on integrity zones in Bangli on Tuesday, ‘We hope this can produce the WBK title for the first time in Bangli Regency.’ He stressed that the integrity zone should not be interpreted merely as an administrative title or award. Instead, the designation of these regional apparatus work units and pilot work units represents a commitment to realising clean, accountable, transparent governance oriented towards quality public services. The six work units include the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency, the regional general hospital (RSUD), the Population and Civil Registration Agency, the North Bangli Community Health Centre (Puskesmas), the Education, Youth and Sports Agency, and the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Manpower Agency. These units were selected based on evaluation and internal assessment results in 2025, which showed that not a single regional apparatus in Bangli had met the requirements to be proposed for the integrity zone to the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB). He added, ‘Entering 2026, the Bangli Regency Government is taking a progressive step by designating six pilot work units to carry out the development of integrity zones.’ He expressed hope that the Bangli Regency Government could fulfil the presentation of documents and supporting evidence within each respective work unit, so that the changes occurring would deliver quality performance. Meanwhile, Deputy Assistant for Coordination of Bureaucratic Reform Policy, Apparatus Accountability and Supervision for Region II at the Ministry of PANRB, Budi Prawira, who was a speaker at the guidance session, explained the requirements for proposing integrity zones for 2026. These requirements include criteria at the government institution level and the work unit/satuan kerja level, priority units for local governments, and the criteria for determining WBK/WBBM status.
