The Bangli Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has approved the accountability report for the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD) and enacted it as a regional regulation (Perda) for 2026. During the ratification, councillors voiced sharp criticism regarding the financial governance of the Bangli Regency Government throughout 2025.

I Wayan Subaga, a member of Commission 3 from the PDI Perjuangan faction, stated that the council had accepted and approved the draft regulation. However, he highlighted that the execution of the 2025 budget still required significant improvements in planning quality, implementation, administration, and accountability. Subaga noted that the regency government had not yet achieved efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, or transparency in its financial management.

The council urged the executive to prioritise public services in its cash management and regional spending composition. Subaga stressed that improvements in administrative order and the completeness of accountability documents for each activity were essential.

In response, Bangli Regent Sang Nyoman Sedana Arta acknowledged the findings and committed to enhancing the performance-based planning system. He stated that coordination among regional apparatuses would be strengthened to achieve more effective financial management. The Regent also pledged to improve cash management, financial administration, and the completeness of accountability documentation, following specific findings from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Sedana Arta assured the council that future budgets would be oriented towards public service delivery and priority programmes to support regional development goals.
