Bangladeshi village chiefs

JAKARTA (JP): Eleven village chiefs from Bangladesh are
scheduled to arrive in Jakarta today for a seven day visit to
make a comparative study on various matters.

Angkatan Bersenjata daily reported on Saturday that the
delegation will be led by Bangladesh's Director General of
Village Development Lutfor Rahman Chowdhury.

During the visit, the chiefs will receive various explanations
about the management structure of the Jakarta administration and
its techniques for dealing with population and family planning
matters.

The administration will also explain to its Bangladeshi guests
the harmonious inter-religion relationships in Jakarta and the
city's slogan of "Teguh Beriman".

The slogan is an abbreviation of Teruskan gerakan untuk hidup
bersih, sehat, indah, menarik, manusiawi dan aman (A healthy,
secure and humane lifestyle).

The municipal administration officials will also make a
presentation about the capital's achievements in managing a
dairy farm in Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta.

The Bangledeshi delegation will stay at the Atlantic Hotel.
They are scheduled to visit various tourist sites in the city,
such as the National Museum, the Indonesia in Miniature Park
(Taman Mini Indonesisa Indah), the Jakarta History Museum and the
museum of traditional puppets. (mas)
