Bangka Hajj Office Confirms All Prospective Pilgrims in Good Health

Sungailiat (ANTARA) - The Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office (Kemenhaj) in Bangka, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, states that all prospective pilgrims from the area, currently in Madinah, are in good health. “There are 270 prospective pilgrims declared healthy, including one named Saman who previously underwent treatment at a local hospital,” said Acting Head of the Hajj and Umrah Ministry Office for Bangka Regency, Giapul Prabungga, in Sungailiat on Thursday. He added that Saman and his wife have been able to carry out their worship activities as usual at Masjid Nabawi for the past two days, alongside the other prospective pilgrims. “Although all prospective pilgrims are in good health, I advise them to continue maintaining their health, especially by drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration and keep bodily functions optimal,” he explained. “We in the homeland continue to coordinate with hajj officials in Madinah to monitor the condition of the prospective pilgrims, as part of the government’s commitment to providing maximum service,” he said. Based on preliminary reports from hajj officials in Madinah, he noted, the prospective pilgrims from Bangka Regency will be transported to Makkah between Sunday (10/5) or Monday (11/5). “The prospective pilgrims from Bangka Regency will be transported to Makkah in two flight groups (kloter), namely Kloter 8 PLM and Kloter 9 PLM,” Giapul stated. He reminded all prospective pilgrims to maintain unity, help one another, and coordinate with their group leaders if they encounter any issues or need information. “We hope that all prospective pilgrims can carry out the entire series of hajj rituals without any obstacles,” he said.
