'Bang Jago' of Jagakarsa Tests Positive for Methamphetamine, Immediately Detained by Police

Police have stated that Fredik Risya Samuel, also known as FRS (37), a suspect in the assault of a motorcyclist on Jalan Moh Kahfi II, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, has tested positive for methamphetamine use. Jagakarsa Police Chief Kompol Nurma Dewi confirmed this was based on the results of a urine test conducted on the individual. “We have carried out the urine test, and he tested positive for drug use. So he is positive for using methamphetamine,” Nurma told reporters on Monday (6/7). Nurma stated that her team is currently investigating the origin of the methamphetamine consumed by the suspect. She added that the suspect has now been detained. In this case, the suspect is charged under Article 466, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. “For now, we are detaining him because, besides committing assault on the road, he also tested positive for drugs,” said Nurma. Police previously arrested Fredik Risya Samuel following an assault on a motorcyclist on Jalan Moh Kahfi II, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, which occurred on Saturday (4/7). The assault was recorded on video and circulated on social media. In the video, the perpetrator is said to have hit the victim after refusing to accept being reprimanded. Netizens nicknamed the perpetrator ‘Bang Jago’. Nurma explained that the incident began when the victim was riding his vehicle and felt his motorcycle’s rear mudguard was hit by the perpetrator. The victim then reprimanded the perpetrator. However, the perpetrator allegedly took offence and struck the victim. “The victim reprimanded the perpetrator, but instead of apologising, the perpetrator assaulted the victim,” said Nurma. In this case, police also seized a Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR motorcycle used by the perpetrator during the incident.
