The Bandung City Government has reported that the realisation of regional revenue for the 2025 fiscal year has not yet met the set target. From a target of Rp7.577 trillion, the revenue successfully collected amounted to Rp7.207 trillion, or 95.11%.

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan conveyed this during the Accountability Statement Report (LKPJ) for the 2025 Fiscal Year at the Plenary Session of the Bandung City DPRD on Monday (30/3).

“The realisation of Bandung City’s regional revenue for 2025 reached Rp7.207 trillion, or 95.11% of the target of Rp7.577 trillion, and has not yet achieved the target,” Farhan stated.

The regional revenue consists of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) of Rp3.791 trillion, or 91.46% of the target, transfer revenue of Rp3.367 trillion, or 98.13%, and other legitimate revenue realised at 100%. Meanwhile, the realisation of regional expenditure was recorded at Rp7.490 trillion, or 89.73% of the total budget of Rp8.347 trillion.

In the human development sector, Bandung City’s Human Development Index (HDI) reached 84.66 points, falling into the high category and surpassing the average for West Java and the national level, which stood at 75.90.

Several supporting indicators also showed positive achievements, including life expectancy of 76.30 years, average length of schooling of 11.41 years, expected length of schooling of 14.27 years, and per capita expenditure of Rp19.28 million per year.

Farhan noted that Bandung City’s economic performance throughout 2025 showed improvement. Economic growth was recorded at 5.29%, exceeding the 5.1% target.

“Bandung City’s economic performance also demonstrated significant improvement. In 2025, economic growth was recorded at 5.29%, surpassing the 5.1% target. Although slightly below West Java Province’s achievement, this is reasonable because Bandung’s economic structure is more dominated by the services and consumption sectors. This indicates that the city’s economy remains strong and adaptive,” he said.

In the investment sector, realisation reached Rp11.92 trillion, or 107.61% of the Rp11.07 trillion target. This achievement is seen as reflecting high investor confidence in the business climate in Bandung City.

Meanwhile, in the environmental sector, the reduction in carbon emissions was recorded at 194,150 tons of CO2 equivalent, or 270.44% of the target. The environmental quality of life index also reached 58.42, exceeding the set target, and the city livability index stood at 8.34 points.

Farhan emphasised the city government’s commitment to strengthening professional and accountable governance. “The Bandung City Government’s commitment to strengthening professional, accountable, and innovative governance continues to be enhanced, in line with the trend of increasing the bureaucracy reform index,” he stated.

He added that city development is also directed towards being more inclusive, fair, and tolerant, with strengthening of the creative economy sector and digitalisation.

In closing his report, Farhan hoped that the Bandung City DPRD could provide recommendations to improve government performance going forward. “This LKPJ serves as a joint evaluation material for a better Bandung,” he said.
