Bandung Zoo has received a donation of Rp 145 million for employee needs and animal feed amid ongoing closure of operations and the revocation of the conservation licence for the Tamansari Wildlife Foundation. The donation comes from contributions by PDI Perjuangan cadres and regional heads in West Java.

PDI Perjuangan politician in West Java, who is also the Chairman of Commission II of the West Java DPRD, Bambang Mujiarto, stated that the party will continue to assist employees and animals at Bandung Zoo until an official manager is appointed. He mentioned that the collected donation originates from contributions by PDI Perjuangan cadres and regional heads in West Java.

“The most important thing is how we ensure that the animals in this zoo are maintained, receive good and adequate nutrition, and of quality for their health,” he said, accompanied by the Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan Faction in the West Java DPRD, Ineu Purwadewi Sundari, at Bandung Zoo on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

He hopes the funds can be used for animal feed and arrears of BPJS Employment. Bambang said the initiative to donate to Bandung Zoo from cadre contributions was carried out based on instructions from PDI Perjuangan General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.

“Approximately Rp 145 million, so there is no such thing as party cadres complaining, it’s just a matter of mutual cooperation. Because the founder of the struggle always engaged in mutual cooperation, that is the spirit of the struggle,” he said.
