Bandung Women's Prison Stages Ciung Wanara, Involving Hundreds of Inmates

The art stage has become a new space for hundreds of inmates at the Class IIA Bandung Women’s Correctional Facility to express their creativity while fostering a love for Nusantara culture. Through a colossal drama performance of Ciung Wanara, a total of 407 people consisting of inmates, prison officers, and artists collaborated to present a performance rich in cultural values. In addition to being part of personality development, the performance also set a record with the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) as the largest artistic collaboration involving inmates within a correctional institution environment.
