Bandung Woman Found After Three Years Missing, Allegedly Abused by Boyfriend
A young woman from Antapani, Bandung City, who had been living in Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency, West Java, is suspected of being abused by her boyfriend. Her family had been unaware of her whereabouts for the past three years. The woman, identified by the initials YTT (29), was allegedly abused at her boarding house in the Cileunyi area, Bandung Regency, and was also held captive by the perpetrator. The alleged abuse, carried out by a man with the initials TH, was reported by the family to the West Java Regional Police on Friday, 12 June 2026. Head of Public Relations for the West Java Police, Commissioner Hendra Rochmawan, confirmed the information. Hendra revealed that the case came to light after the reporter received information via WhatsApp from an unknown person that the victim was at the Emergency Department of Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung. “After that, the reporter went to RSHS and found that the victim was in a condition with severe injuries to the head, face, legs, and minor injuries to the hands,” Hendra said on Tuesday (16/6/2026). Hendra stated that the family had previously not known the victim’s whereabouts. The victim was considered missing by her family for approximately three years. “Previously, the victim had disappeared without any news, and her whereabouts were unknown for about three years,” he revealed. Hendra said the victim is suspected of being abused by the perpetrator. TH carried out his actions using various means, ranging from blunt objects to sharp weapons. “It is suspected that during that time period, she received abusive treatment from the reported party using hands, blunt objects, sharp weapons, and the victim’s valuables are missing,” he explained.
