The case of alleged confinement and abuse of a woman with the initials YTR (30) in Bandung Regency continues to draw public attention. The victim was found in a distressing condition after being reported missing. Her family has revealed that all of her assets were allegedly seized and drained by a man with the initials TH (30), who is referred to as the victim’s boyfriend.

YTR is currently undergoing intensive treatment at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung. A medical team is still working to treat various serious injuries the victim sustained due to the alleged prolonged abuse. Her condition is said to be severe, with injuries to several parts of her body, including her face and eyes.

Amid the ongoing investigation, the family has clarified the timeline before the victim disappeared. They stated that YTR actually left home in 2024, not three years ago as widely reported. Additionally, the victim had previously introduced the man now suspected as the perpetrator to her family.

A family representative, Melani, corrected the information regarding how long the victim had been away from home. According to her, YTR only left about two years ago, after the Eid al-Fitr celebration in 2024. She explained that the victim came home with a man she introduced as her boyfriend, claiming he was from Majalaya. However, the victim’s younger brother had different information, believing the man was from the Ujung Berung area. This discrepancy raised suspicions within the family. The victim’s older sibling even admitted to warning YTR not to get too close to the man, but the warning was ignored, and the victim eventually left home with the now-suspected perpetrator.
