Bandung, West Java (ANTARA) - The Bandung City Transportation Agency (Dishub), West Java, is intensifying enforcement against illegal parking, which is rampant on several roads, particularly in the city centre and tourist destinations.

Head of the Transport Order Section of Bandung City Dishub, Ulloh Abdulloh, stated that this crackdown targets eight roads, including Jalan Asia Afrika, Jalan Otto Iskandardinata (Otista), Jalan Panjunan, Jalan Terusan Pasir Koja, Jalan Pasirkaliki, Jalan Wastukancana, Jalan R.E. Martadinata, and Jalan Lombok.

“In today’s operation, around eight motorcycles were apprehended. For four-wheeled vehicles, 10 units were fined manually and 13 were enforced through ETLE,” Ulloh said in Bandung, West Java, on Monday.

Ulloh mentioned that they are collaborating with the police in implementing sanctions, both through manual ticketing and electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE).

In addition to enforcement, he said, officers are towing violating vehicles and conducting surveillance via mobile ETLE.

He emphasised that monitoring will continue sustainably, especially in tourist areas and community activity centres.

“All roads, particularly tourist areas, will continue to be monitored by us,” he stated.

Bandung City Dishub is also opening avenues for public participation to report illegal parking violations on several major roads in Bandung City.

“Please report if you find illegal parking or vehicles on the pavement. We are open to public complaints,” he added.
