Bandung Scrap Warehouse Completely Destroyed in Fire, Owner Suffers Tens of Millions in Losses

A scrap warehouse in Kampung Cibogo Lamping, RT 04/01, Desa Lagadar, Kecamatan Margaasih, Bandung Regency, West Java, was completely destroyed in a fire on Saturday (30 May 2026) morning. The owner is estimated to have suffered losses of tens of millions of rupiah.

Fire department personnel received the alert at 4:25 AM WIB and immediately rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. The fire site is adjacent to Cimahi City.

“The incident is estimated to have occurred at 4:00 AM WIB, and we received the report at 4:25 AM WIB,” said Indrahadi, commander of the first unit of Cimahi City Fire Department, when confirmed.

Cimahi City Fire Department deployed four units, one rescue vehicle, and one water cannon from the TKI Post, totalling 17 personnel, to extinguish the fire. After a nearly hour-long struggle, the blaze was finally put out around 6:07 AM WIB.

“When we arrived, the fire had already intensified because the materials involved were highly flammable. The total burned area was 280 square metres,” Indrahadi said.
