Bandung Residents Turn to Electric Motorcycles for Daily Commuting
BANDUNG – Electric vehicle usage in Bandung continues to rise, including electric motorcycles. This shift is partly due to fuel savings.
One electric motorcycle user is Fandi Achmad. At the IM Owners Talk Real Experience event, Fandi shared his experience.
‘Using an electric motorcycle is more cost-effective in terms of operational costs,’ said Fandi, an eMotor user in Bandung, on Friday (29/5/2026).
Not only is it economical, but it’s also easy to use. Indomobil eMotor has an extensive network of dealers, communities, and after-sales support.
Another user, Rizal Wirawan, echoed the same sentiment. The most noticeable change is the savings.
‘Previously, I spent around Rp15,000 a day or up to Rp100,000 a week on fuel-powered motorcycles. Now, it’s about Rp25,000 a week—75% cheaper,’ Rizal said during the event organised by PT Indomobil Emotor Internasional.
Moreover, with recent increases in non-subsidised fuel prices, electric motorcycle users remain unaffected.
PT Indomobil Emotor Internasional CEO Pius Wirawan stated the company must listen to consumer feedback and build closer ties with the public.
‘Through IM Owners Talk Real Experience, we aim to create a space for users to share real stories and experiences of using Indomobil eMotor,’ Pius said.
Meanwhile, Marketing Head Carla Karina explained that the event is part of a strategy to showcase electric vehicles as part of urban lifestyle.
‘We want to demonstrate that electric motorcycles are no longer just an alternative but a relevant mobility solution for people’s needs,’ Carla said.
According to Carla, the presence of Indomobil eMotor user communities at the event proves the positive growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem.
Users are not just consumers but active members of a community that shares information, experiences, and educates the public about electric vehicles,’ Carla added.
During the event, Indomobil eMotor introduced the Adora, its first electric motorcycle designed specifically for modern commuters with high efficiency and advanced features.
