Bandung Religious Court Grants Ridwan Kamil's Petition to Adopt Arkana

The Bandung Religious Court officially granted the adoption of Arkana Aidan Misbach as the child of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil on Wednesday. He had previously submitted a petition to adopt Arkana. The ruling was announced on the Bandung Religious Court’s case tracking information system. “Declares the adoption carried out by Mochamad Ridwan Kamil bin the late Atje Misbach Muhjidin of a male child named Arkana Aidan Misbach, born in Bandung on 28 February 2020, as legal,” the court’s system stated. The panel of judges ordered the petitioner to submit a copy of the ruling to the Population and Civil Registration Service so that the child could be recorded in the register provided for that purpose and noted on the relevant birth certificate. Ridwan Kamil adopted Arkana in 2020. Arkana had become an orphan after both of his parents passed away.
