BANDUNG — Marking the first day of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah, Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna conveyed information regarding the guaranteed fulfilment of salary payments for part-time Government Employees with Employment Agreements (PPPK) serving as teachers and education support staff (tendik) in Bandung district.

The regent confirmed that these salary payments are sourced entirely from the Bandung District Regional Budget (APBD). The announcement was made on Thursday (19 February 2026).

In 2026, the Bandung district government faces a significant fiscal challenge, with regional transfer funds (TKD) from the central government reduced by nearly Rp1 trillion, placing considerable pressure on the regional budget.

Regarding the policy response, Regent Dadang Supriatna has sent two official letters to the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education — numbered 900/265/3516/Disdik dated 25 November 2025 and 876/0276/Disdik dated 6 February 2026. Additionally, the regent personally coordinated and consulted with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) on 24 November 2025, where he was received directly by the Director General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education (PAUD Dikdasmen).

On the matter of operational funding, Ministerial Regulation (Permendikdasmen) Number 8 of 2026 stipulates that the source of financing for part-time teacher and education staff salaries cannot be drawn from School Operational Assistance (BOSP) funds.

Despite these constraints, the Bandung district government has demonstrated a sustained commitment to staff welfare. Since 2021, the administration has provided incentives of Rp350,000 per person per month for teachers and education support staff at all levels — early childhood education (PAUD), primary schools (SD), and junior secondary schools (SMP). Total disbursements in 2025 reached Rp66.27 billion, all sourced from the Bandung District APBD.
