Bandung (ANTARA) - The Bandung Regency Government is involving micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (SJH) area during the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup to encourage economic impact for the local community.

The Head of the Bandung Regency Youth and Sports Office (Dispora), Dicky Anugrah, stated that instructions have been received to allocate space for MSMEs in the stadium area throughout the event.

“We have received orders to allocate space for MSMEs in the stadium area,” Dicky said in Bandung on Monday.

Dicky noted that the hosting of the FIFA ASEAN Cup is expected to be successful not only in terms of the matches but also in providing a multiplier effect on the regional economy.

Regarding stadium readiness, Dicky stated that Si Jalak Harupat Stadium is prepared to host the Group B matches of the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup, which will feature Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Pakistan.

He explained that based on assessments by the PSSI (Football Association of Indonesia) and the organisers, there were two points that the stadium management needed to address, one of which related to pitch improvements.

“Currently, there are ongoing improvements being carried out by vendors prepared by the organisers. Thankfully, the pitch repairs are now almost 95 per cent complete,” he added.
