Bandung Regency government distributes President Prabowo Subianto’s sacrificial cattle aid to residents of Dayeuhkolot District as a gesture of concern for flood-prone communities. Bandung Regent Dadang Supriatna stated that the 1.3-ton Simmental cattle, the first sacrificial animal to be slaughtered in the area, were distributed as part of the initiative. ‘Given this area’s recurring floods, the Lamajang region has never before had a sacrificial cattle slaughter,’ he said in Bandung on Wednesday. The regent explained that the sacrificial cattle slaughter process was completed and the meat would be distributed to local residents in accordance with the Mosque Management Council (DKM) regulations. He also noted that the President’s sacrificial cattle were sourced from local farmers in Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency, selected for their maximum weight. ‘This is the work of Bandung Regency farmers. The President specifically chose the heaviest cattle, and thankfully they were found in Cilengkrang,’ he added. Meanwhile, Miftahul Jannah DKM official Setiadi (40) said residents were grateful for the President’s sacrificial animal aid delivered through Bandung Regency government. He explained that the distribution proceeded smoothly despite 40-centimetre flooding the night before the slaughter. ‘Floodwaters persisted until 22:30 WIB, but thankfully access was unimpeded, allowing the delivery process to proceed without hindrance,’ he said. According to him, the sacrificial meat was prioritised for Lamajang Pantas residents across three neighbourhood units (RW), with a target of distributing 1,000 meat packages.
